Who we are

Barrio Club de Fútbol (“Barrio”, “we”, “us”) runs this website (barrioclubdefutbol.com) and the Barrio mobile app. This policy explains how we handle personal information on both. If you have a question, email barrioclubdefutbol@gmail.com or write to us at Austin, TX.

Information we collect on the website

You can use this website without an account and without giving us any personal information.

• Contact form. The form on our Contact page only helps you draft a message. What you type stays in your browser. It is not sent to us or stored. You choose whether to paste it into an Instagram message or email.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider, Netlify, automatically records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.
• Analytics. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies on this website. If we add analytics, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
• Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google. See Google’s privacy policy.
• Links to other sites. We link to Instagram and partner sites. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.

Information we collect in the Barrio app

When you use the Barrio app to find and join games and events, we collect:

• Account details: your name, email address or phone number, and password or sign-in credentials.
• Profile details you choose to add, such as a photo, nickname or playing preferences.
• Activity: games and events you sign up for, attend or cancel, and your sign-up history.
• Messages and support requests you send to the Barrio crew.
• Device and technical information: device type, operating system, app version, crash reports and, if you allow them, push notification tokens.
• Payments: if a game or event has a fee, payment is handled by a payment provider. We receive confirmation of payment but not your full card number.

We do not collect your precise location unless the app asks for it and you allow it.

Photos and video at our events

We photograph and film games and events, and share some of that footage on this website and our social channels. If you would rather not appear, tell a member of the crew at the event, or email barrioclubdefutbol@gmail.com and we will remove footage of you where we reasonably can.

How we use information

• To run the app: create your account, manage sign-ups and keep you informed about games and events you joined.
• To answer your questions and support requests.
• To keep games, events, the site and the app safe and secure, and to prevent abuse.
• To understand and improve the site and the app.
• To share club news and updates, which you can opt out of at any time.
• To meet legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only:

• With service providers who help us run the site and app (for example hosting, app infrastructure, email, payment processing). They may only use it to provide their services to us.
• When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our players, the public or Barrio.
• With your permission, for example when you ask us to connect you with a partner.
• If Barrio is reorganized or transferred, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Cookies and similar technology

This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising.

How long we keep information

We keep app account information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it longer for legal, safety or accounting reasons. Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period for security purposes.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
• Correct information that is wrong.
• Delete your information and your app account.
• Stop sending you news and updates.

To make a request, email barrioclubdefutbol@gmail.com from the address linked to your account, or choose “Privacy request” on our Contact page. We will reply within 45 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and if you are still unhappy you can contact your state attorney general. Depending on where you live, including Texas and California, you may have these rights by law; we offer them to everyone.

Children

The Barrio app and this website are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Kids camps and youth events are registered by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email barrioclubdefutbol@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password for your app account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, tell app users in the app or by email.
